Our Competent Person Service packages help reduce your overheads by eliminating the need to employ a full-time member of staff dedicated solely to health and safety. Instead, you gain the reassurance of having access to all the professional help and advice you need.

These packages give you control over the level of support that suits your business, all for a manageable monthly fee. This allows you to plan your costs for the year while knowing that expert help and advice are just a phone call away.

The following fees apply if you require consultancy services in addition to your package or if you do not have a package with me.

(The below do not include me being your competent person unless you are paying me to do so).

I do not charge for individual documents/safety files; I charge for the time spent writing them and carrying out research on the specific issue involved in the work process.

Day Rate: £420
(This rate also covers time spent writing and compiling safety documents and files, as well as desk work.)

Hourly Rate: £50.00
(This rate also covers time spent writing and compiling safety documents and files, as well as desk work.)

Site Audit/Inspection: £475.00
(Does not include overnight arrangements if required.)

Manual Handling Training (NVQ Level 2): 1 day, £89.00 per person

First Aid EFAW (NVQ Level 2): 1 day, £125.00 per person

Health and Safety in the Workplace (NVQ Level 2): 1 day, £150.00 per person

Fire Warden/Awareness Course (NVQ Level 2): 1 day, £75.00 per person

Working at Heights Course: 1 day, £135.00 per person

Asbestos Awareness Course: 4 hours, £67.00 per person

Support is restricted to advice only. Enquiries requiring more than 15 minutes of work by Flemming Safety Consultants will be invoiced accordingly at an agreed rate.

The “Competent Person” service fee for subscribers is invoiced quarterly in advance – six months for the Platinum Package. All packages are subject to a £99.00 set-up fee.

Paying me to write and compile safety files/documentation does not mean I am your competent person. You must pay for that service/package separately, using the chart above to suit your needs.
